No Trend formed in 1983 and set themselves apart from the thrash sounds of the DC hardcore scene. Confrontation and social commentary were the topics of No Trend's early post-punk sounds. Jeff Mentges was the singer, founder, and only member that was in the band from start to finish. He directed the film OF FLESH AND BLOOD in the late '80s. Lydia Lunch sang on their A DOZEN DEAD ROSES album. Their "lost" album, MORE has just been released.
