ET CETERA

Teen-Beat delivered this album to Matador for manufacturing in 1990. The album was originally scheduled to be released in late 1990 or early 1991. Matador shelved the project but then finally released it three years later in December of 1993. By then, it seemed like a bit of a time capsule.

The Teenbeat discography on the CD booklet, written in 1990, has the following catalog number allocation predictions for planned future releases that were never realised:

61. CITYSLICKER fanzine of cities (never released. this carries the number Teenbeat 64)

62. THE AMBULANCE FAMILY "Twilight of the Muscle Car" cassette (never released. Teenbeat 62 is a single by Flying Saucer)

64. NO. 6 RECORDS tee-shirt (never released. Teenbeat 64 is the CITYSLICKER travelzine)

68. SEXUAL MILKSHAKE cassette (never released. Teenbeat 68 is the Teenbeat ballpoint pen)

69. JONNY COHEN album on CD and cassette (never released. Teenbeat 69 turned out to be a Jonny Cohen EP)

72. TEENBEAT tee-shirt No.2 (never released. Teenbeat 72 is the UNREST 'Imperial' tee-shirt)

ANDREW BEAUJON and MARK ROBINSON (William & Vivian) aren't credited on the jacket for 'Teenbeat Theme' 1985. This song first appeard (also uncredited) on the 'Extremism...' compilation album [Teenbeat 1].

UNREST's 'Teenbeat Theme' 1991 isn't credited to the band on the album. It is an outtake from their 'Kustom Karnal Blackxploitation' album [Teenbeats 35] and was recorded in the fall of 1989, not 1991.

TEENAGE GANG DEBS was a studio-only, one-song band consisting of brother and sister duo Don and Erin Smith (guitar) with Mark Robinson on drums. The band name is also the name of their fanzine.

JUNGLE GEORGE's 'The Equator of Her Navel' appeared on quite a few early Teen-Beat releases.

VELOCITY GIRL's song features their first vocalist, Bridget Cross.

COURTNEY LOVE is a band featuring Lois Maffeo and Pat Maley.

VOMIT LAUNCH's 'Block of Wood' was originally written and recorded by The Bats.

KROKODILOES' 'Sweet Georgia Brown' was written by Bernie/Pinkard/Casey.

'On Tape' is an adaptation of the Pooh Sticks song of the same name and includes new lyrics by Don and Erin Smith (TEENAGE GANG DEBS).

JUNGLE GEORGE's 'The Equator of Her Navel' appeared on quite a few early Teen-Beat releases.
