"Spring Collection" is a compilation of singles and compilation tracks. Included are Teen-Beat 7-inch singles 219, 249, 279, 298, and compilation tracks from 221, 251, 271, and 291.

The CD version of this album was released almost five months before the vinyl LP was released. There were no plans to manufacture vinyl, but there was demand from a distributor in Japan so we went ahead and came up with a vinyl version.

"We have thanked a lot of people over the last six years. So we'll just thank everyone again: friends, families, boys, girls, bands, clubs, D.J.s. A few extra thanks are in oirder, though:
Jeff Grosfeld for helping us keep the ball rolling in the bass department. Ken Sekioka for setting up our Japan tour 2000 and being the best tour companion we could hope for. Keisuke Hatsuda for originally releasing "Secret Scenes" in Japan. The Mark Robinson, Versus, Hot Pursuit, Aden, and Tracy Shedd for being some excellent touring partners. To the people who recorded these songs for us. Mark Robinson, Evelyn Hurley,and all the Teenbeat bands and interns, for keeping the dream alive. Hey there. Thanks for buying our singles compilation. Collected here are all of our Teenbeat singles and sampler tracks, as well as a few odds and ends from elsewhere ("Tongue" was recorded for a tribute to R.E.M. which never saw the light of day, and "Je Me Souviens" was the b-side of our Japanese tour single on Rover)..

We like to think of these as "The Tobin Years," and you hear the mighty low-end rumble of Mr. Rodriguez on the tracks here. On the bonus tracks we recorded in 2001 ("Shy Song", "September", and "Making Love") you hear our new bass player Tony Zanella. Come say hi to Tony when we come to your town. We look forward to seeing you soon, and hope everything's working out for you.
