Teen-Beat 30th Anniversary

Teen-Beat's 30th Anniversary commemorates the night of February 23, 1985 when Andrew Beaujon and Mark Robinson edited, mastered, and even recorded an impromptu Teen-Beat theme song for Teen-Beat 1 in Andrew's backyard in Arlington, Virginia.

Before then, Teen-Beat was operating on a lending library business model with only one copy of each cassette audiotape. These albums carried letters instead of Teen-Beat catalogue numbers. The Extremism in the Defense of Liberty is No Vice compilation album was the first Teen-Beat product to be mass produced.

This anniversary was marked by Mark, Andrew, and Teen-Beat with announcements and commemorations but no celebrations.
